We can’t see your swing the way your coach can. An instructor standing behind you reads sequencing, low point and pressure shift in real time. We read video you upload and the data you bring. Those are different instruments and we’re not going to blur them.

We don’t manufacture numbers your device didn’t give us. If your export has no club path column, there is no club path answer. Inferring one would be worse than useless at your level.

The reason a lesson resets every time isn’t the instructor. It’s that nothing between sessions is written down in a form anyone can reason over.
Your coach keeps a working assessment of your game, the hypotheses it’s currently testing, what it has already ruled out, and how each of those has tracked across the season. Ask in September and it answers from March.

“Will it just give me generic answers?”

Is AI golf coaching useful at a single-digit handicap?
It depends on what you expect from it. It will not out-diagnose a good instructor watching your swing — that isn't the trade. What it does hold is a season of context in one place: every session, every round, every hypothesis you tested and what happened afterwards. At a low index, improvement is mostly a memory and measurement problem, and that is the part software is genuinely better at.
Can I bring my launch monitor and round data into one place?
That's the intended shape. Will an AI coach just give me generic advice?
It reads your imported data and your rounds before it answers, and when the record doesn't support a conclusion it is built to say so rather than fill the gap. If you ask it something your data cannot answer — a club path question with no path data in the file, for instance — the useful response is that it doesn't know, and that's what you should hold it to.
How do I prepare for a course I've never played?
GolfSalt generates preparation notes for the specific course and conditions before you tee off, drawing on the course and tee data plus what it knows about your game — where your miss is expensive on that layout, which tees fit your carry numbers, what the round is likely to ask of you. It is a preparation aid, not a substitute for a practice round if you can get one.
