For Coaches · Beta Open

Keep coaching
after the lesson ends.

AI coaching tools belong in your hands too — not just your players'. Grow your roster, run async sessions, introduce reluctant golfers to coaching, and shape the practice plans your players follow between lessons.

A new category, on purpose.

Most golf software is built either for the coach (lesson scheduling, video review) or around the coach (DTC apps that quietly compete with you). We're neither. We're trying to put proper AI coaching tools in your hands — so you can grow, and reach players you couldn't before.

What you do

Watch the swing. Read the player. Make the call. Set the plan. The work that requires presence, taste, and judgment.

What we do

Remember every round. Track every practice. Surface patterns. Run the practice plan you shaped. Answer the small stuff at 9pm so you don't have to.

What the player does

Logs rounds. Logs practice. Asks the AI questions you've shaped it to handle. Stays accountable to the plan you set together. One app, not five.

We don't sell training aids. We don't push club brands. We don't quietly try to become the coach. We're trying to give you the same kind of AI tools your players already have access to — so you can serve the players you have more deeply, and reach players you couldn't before.

What coaching looks like today

  • Hour with the student. Then radio silence for two weeks.
  • "How's the new grip working?" "Uh… pretty good?"
  • You can't remember what you worked on with which student.
  • Your best students drift to YouTube tips when you're not around.
  • Practice between lessons is unstructured. The lesson resets the same problem.

Time-bounded coaching with no continuity layer.

What coaching looks like with GolfSalt

  • Show up to the next lesson already knowing they shot 84 Saturday and lost 3 strokes from 100–125.
  • Send a 60-second voice note about their swing-thought after watching their phone-shot video.
  • The AI builds the practice plan for the week. You approve, edit, or rewrite it — in 90 seconds.
  • Their AI plan is built on top of what you set — the AI extends your direction, it doesn't override it.
  • Grow your practice without adding hours to your week. Reach players who'd never sign up for a weekly lesson.

Continuity. Context. Leverage.

Everything in your coach toolkit

Built for working coaches, not for software companies that want to look like coaches.

Player Visibility

Full round history

Every round they've ever logged, hole-by-hole, with strokes gained, FIR/GIR, scrambling, putts. Filter by course, scoring zone, or date range.

Practice session logs

See what they actually practiced, when, and for how long. Range, putting, short game, simulator — with shot-level data when they capture it.

Stats dashboard

Handicap trend, scoring averages, strokes gained breakdown, club distance gapping — all the numbers you need before they walk on the lesson tee.

Goals & profile

What success looks like to them. Coaching style preferences. Learning style. Physical considerations. Stuff most coaches only learn after six lessons.

Equipment & bag

Every club they carry, with lofts, shafts, grip size, swing weight. Catch a gapping problem before they ask you about new irons.

Granular permissions

Players choose what to share — profile, rounds, practices, swing video, messaging, plans — per coach. Trust is earned, not demanded.

Coaching Workflow

Direct messaging

Threaded conversations with each player. Read receipts. Tag a thread to a specific round, practice, or video so context isn't lost.

Practice plans & comments

Review the AI-generated plan, leave comments, or replace it entirely. Your edits become the player's plan for the week.

Round-anchored notes

Drop a note on round 47, hole 9 ("watch the over-the-top move when fatigued"). Both you and the AI keep that context for next time.

Swing video review

Players upload phone video. You see the swing with extracted positions, tempo, shaft lean, and X-factor — without buying a $4,000 system.

Influence the AI

Shape the practice plans the AI generates for your players. Comment, edit, or replace them — the AI builds on your direction, not around it. Players choose how much weight the AI gives your guidance.

Pre-lesson briefings

Open a player's page two minutes before they arrive and see what's changed since last time, what they practiced, and what they've been struggling with.

Practice Operations

Email invitations

Send an invite to any email. They land on a clean accept page. If they're not on GolfSalt yet, they sign up first — then connect to you.

Async coaching, on your schedule

Reach players who can't make a weekly slot. Drop a note, edit a plan, review a phone-shot video — on your time, not the lesson tee's.

We're a tool, not a competitor

We don't run a coach marketplace, suggest other coaches to your players, or sell their attention. The relationship is yours; we're the tooling underneath it.

No equipment kickbacks

Zero affiliate relationships with manufacturers. When the system suggests an equipment change, the data drove it — not a sponsorship.

Business

Free during beta

Approved beta coaches pay nothing — no monthly fee, no revenue share. We want feedback, not invoices.

Preferred launch pricing

When we exit beta, beta coaches lock in our preferred rate on both the platform fee and the revenue share.

Open to future partnerships

Academy partnerships, white-label arrangements, coach-led integrations — we're early enough that there's real room to shape it. Talk to us.

No long-term contract

Cancel any time, no exit fee, no hostage data. We'd rather earn the relationship every month than lock you into one.

How it works

Five steps, most of which take a few minutes.

01

Apply

Tell us about your coaching practice. We read every application personally.

02

We reach out

If we're a fit, we get in touch to learn more about you, your players, and how you want to use the platform.

03

Invite your players

Send invitations by email. Existing GolfSalt users connect instantly. New players sign up first.

04

Coach

Show up, see what's changed since last time, message between sessions, shape their practice plans.

05

Help us improve

We believe there will always be a place for human coaches in golf — and they deserve great AI tools just as much as players do. Tell us what to build next.

Pricing

Honest about where we are. Beta is free if you're approved. Launch pricing isn't fully nailed down yet — here's what we know.

We're still working out the math. Here's the shape of it:

  • A modest monthly platform fee per coach.
  • A revenue share on the players you coach on GolfSalt.
  • Aligned incentives — we grow as you grow.

We'd rather get this right with the people who help us build it than guess. Beta coaches see the final pricing before anyone else and lock in the lowest tier.

Common questions from coaches

No. All golfers are different — they need different things at different points in their game. An AI coach can grow your roster by introducing reluctant golfers to coaching, handle async sessions when you can't be there, and follow the practice plans you set. Human coaches deserve great AI tools just as much as players do. We're trying to put one in your hands.
During beta: nothing. Approved beta coaches get a free coach account with no platform fee and no revenue share. At launch we'll move to a monthly platform fee plus a revenue share on the players you coach on GolfSalt. Beta coaches keep our preferred launch pricing locked in.
No, the opposite. As a connected coach you can shape and influence the AI's practice plans for your players — the AI builds on your direction, it doesn't override it. Players can also adjust how much weight the AI gives your guidance versus its own. The intent is for coach and AI to work as a connected pair, not in parallel.
We're in beta, so a couple of things factor in. We want to make sure we have solid regional course support in your area — or that we can stand those courses up before we say yes. We're also deliberately looking for a real range of coaches: different teaching styles, levels, and comfort with technology. Honest feedback comes from a wide cross-section, not a homogeneous group.
No. Bring three, bring thirty. We're hoping to get many perspectives, and a coach with a small focused practice often catches things a coach with fifty students can't. The platform should work for both.
Yes, of course. No cooldown, no exit fee, no long-term contract. If you stop, the revenue share stops, and your players can be reassigned to other coaches. But honestly, we'd love to succeed together — we genuinely think we're onto something here, and we want the coaches who help us build this to be the ones who benefit most.
All golfers are different. So are all coaches. We believe there will always be a place for human coaches in golf — and they deserve great AI tools just as much as their players do. That's what we're building.

The Golf Salt Team

Let's grow together.

We're looking for a wide range of coaches to help us shape this. If you care about the long arc of a player's game, we'd love to talk.
