Golf isn’t done
with you yet.

You play more golf than almost anyone. Almost nobody coaches for that. Here’s a coach built around the body you have now, the time you have now, and the golf you actually play.

Let’s deal with the distance thing first

Every article you open is written for someone who hasn’t lost a yard. Ten tips to add twenty yards. Swing faster. Turn more. It gets tiring.

We’re not going to promise you distance. What we will do is stop guessing about it. Your coach works from the numbers you actually produce — shots tracked while you play, or a range session imported from a launch monitor — so your club selection matches this year’s game instead of a number you remember.

Playing the right club to the middle of the green beats playing the club you wish you still hit. That one change is worth more strokes than most swing advice.

Coaching that listens to what your body tells you

You tell your coach what feels fine and what doesn’t. It stops suggesting the things that don’t fit — and it remembers, so you never have to explain it twice.

Say it once

“My back doesn’t like a full turn any more.” That’s the whole setup step. From then on, drills that need one stop appearing.

Plans that fit the week

Practice built around the sessions you’ll actually do — often shorter, more often, and weighted toward the shots inside 100 yards that decide your score.

A warmup for the time you have

Twelve minutes before a 9:10 tee time is a real constraint. Your warmup is built for the minutes you’ve got, not an ideal hour you don’t.

GolfSalt is a coaching tool, not medical care. It doesn’t diagnose anything and doesn’t treat anything. If something hurts, that conversation belongs with your doctor or physio — and once they’ve told you what to avoid, your coach will work inside it.

You talk. It does the filing.

There’s no form to fill in before you get anything useful. You ask a question the way you’d ask a friend in the cart, and your coach answers in plain language — no jargon, no chart you have to decode.

Each morning there’s a short note waiting: what you did last, what’s worth ten minutes today, and where your game has been trending. For a week that now has room for golf most days, that rhythm turns out to matter more than any single tip.

  • Ask anything in your own words — no menus, no setup, no jargon
  • A short daily check-in that keeps the week connected
  • Rounds and practice logged as simply as a photo of the scorecard
  • Distance to the green, hazards and carries on the course when you want them

The goal most people actually have

Not a lower index. Still playing at 78. Still walking nine on a Tuesday. Still good enough company that the group wants you in it.

Goals in GolfSalt are written in your own words, and they don’t have to be about score at all. “Get round eighteen without my back seizing up” is a goal here, and the coaching orients around it — including the movement work and warmups that support it, logged manually or synced from your phone’s health app.

One golfer, saying the thing the golf press never says back:

I'm 66 years old, playing to a 12.8. Any course over 6200 is a long haul for me now. It gets tiring reading about guys hitting 270-yard 3-woods.

The fair questions

“I'm not a technology person.”

Then don't be one. You talk to it in sentences and it fills in the rest — one thing at a time, plain language, and nothing you have to configure before it's useful.

“Another subscription?”

Fair. It's built for the golfer who plays the most, not the one who plays occasionally, so the value scales with how much golf you actually get. You'll know within a few weeks whether it earns its place, and you can leave whenever you like.

“Isn't this all aimed at young golfers chasing distance?”

Most golf products are. This one starts from what you carry now and what your body is happy doing, and it never treats a shorter course or nine holes as lesser golf.

Common questions

Straight answers, no small print.

How should a senior golfer practise differently?

Mostly by changing what practice is for. Long range sessions chasing distance tend to give back less than short, frequent work on the shots that decide a score — wedges, chipping, and putting — plus a warmup that gets you ready before the first tee rather than by the fourth hole. GolfSalt builds a plan around the sessions you can actually do, in the time you actually have, and adjusts when you tell it something is uncomfortable.

Is there golf coaching for golfers who have lost distance?

Yes, and the useful version starts by measuring what you carry now rather than what you used to. GolfSalt works from your real numbers — shots tracked on the course, or a session imported from a launch monitor — so club selection and course strategy match the game you have today. It also looks at whether your set is still sensibly gapped for those numbers before suggesting anything else.

Can I use it if I'm not a technology person?

The main way you use GolfSalt is by talking to it, in ordinary sentences. There is no jargon to learn and nothing you have to configure first. You can tell it about your golf out loud, one question at a time, and it fills in the rest as you go.

Can golf coaching work around a bad back or a stiff shoulder?

You tell your coach what your body does and doesn't do comfortably, and it stops suggesting the things that don't fit — the drill selection and the warmup both change. To be clear about the limit: this is coaching, not medical advice, and we don't diagnose or treat anything. Anything painful belongs with a doctor or a physio first.

Is GolfSalt worth it if I play several times a week?

That is the golfer it fits best. The coaching compounds on frequency — more rounds and more practice mean a richer record, sharper patterns, and a plan that keeps up. Golfers who play a few times a year get the least from it, and we would rather say so.
